    The IDEMIA Biometric Devices Academy is a comprehensive e-learning platform dedicated to teaching the latest trends and advancements in the biometric industry. This platform provides in-depth training on IDEMIA smart biometric devices and solutions.

    It comes with a Certification Program designed to help partners, system integrators and end-users become experts in promoting, installing and configuring IDEMIA biometric access control terminals.

  • What does IDEMIA Biometric Devices Certification Program consist in?

    We offer different Certification Levels and each certification includes a specific set of Sales and/or Technical courses to complete.

    Once you finish all the courses required for a given certification level, you will earn the corresponding certification in the form of a digital badge (and .pdf certificate) delivered via the credly.com platform.

  • Which Certification Levels are available?

    Students can apply for up to 6 Certifications:

  • Are the courses self-paced or instructor-led?

    Our courses are primarily self-paced, allowing learners to access materials anytime and study at their own convenience.

    Some advanced programs (★★ or ★★★ Levels) include live webinars or mentoring sessions with instructors.

  • How can I get access to the Academy courses?

    - If you are already a direct customer of IDEMIA for Biometric Devices, please liaise with your IDEMIA Sales representative, like for any of our offers.
    - If not, please contact us.

    Once granted access, you will receive instructions to sign in. A new header entry called 'MY DASHBOARD' will appear: the related page will contain the courses you are enrolled in. Simply click on a course card to access the course content.

  • What can I access from the 'MY DASHBOARD' entry?

    Your dashboard provides a personalized overview of your learning progress.

    From there, you can access your enrolled courses, track your completion status and quickly resume where you left off.
    It’s your central hub for managing your training journey.

  • What kind of courses can I take here?

    Our course offer comprises:
    - Sales courses (Modules S01, S02, etc.) providing Sales persons with the necessary tools to market and sell IDEMIA solutions for Access Control and Time & Attendance.
    - Technical courses (Modules T01, T02, etc.) teaching technicians how to integrate, install and set up our products and solutions.

  • What does a course consist of?

    A typical course consists of:
    - a number of short video sequences (about 2 to 15 min each, for a total of about 1 hour), to watch in order (you can't skip a sequence).
    - an exam in the form of a quiz (about 10 questions) requiring a passing grade of 80%. The number of attempts is unlimited but the course won't be completed until the passing grade is reached.

    To get an overview of a course content, simply click on the course card and discover its curriculum and instructors.
    The number of lessons mentioned in the course card is the number of video sequences, plus one for the exam.

  • How can I earn a digital badge from the IDEMIA Biometric Devices Academy?

    To earn a badge from our Academy, you must complete all required courses for your chosen certification track.

    Once you've successfully finished all required courses and passed the corresponding exams, you will receive an email from credly.com, inviting you to create your Credly personal account, then retrieve your digital badge.

  • What to do with this digital badge ?

    This badge serves as a verified digital credential, which you can share on platforms like LinkedIn, email signatures, and more.

  • What if I need a specific course tailored to my role or project needs?

    If you're looking for a course that aligns with your specific role or project requirements and don't see it listed, feel free to reach out to our support or training team.

    We can guide you to the most relevant existing courses or discuss customized training options based on your needs.

  • How long is my certification valid?

    All certifications, once granted, are valid in the duration of your 2-year subscription.
    During this period, you’ll have 24/7 access to our learning platform – either full or Sales Modules only access – depending on your subscription.

    After 2 years, renewal or recertification will be required to maintain access to the courses and certification status.

  • I can't access anymore the courses I was registered in: what to do?

    We invite you to renew your subscription in order to have access to the courses again and extend your certification(s).
